“That is the best compliment I had from you”
It was a lazy Sunday. As usual, I tried to inject some life into our Sunday. I will try to make pizza today. My teenage daughter is very particular about food. When it is palatable, she says it is normal. I was yet to hear from her any food I made to be good. The pizza was made, she helped me with the sauce and grating the cheese, while I made and spread the dough. Went in the oven for 20 minutes. The top cheese was kind of burnt with the sausages well held within.
I sliced and presented to my kids. She took a bite.
“Where did you learn to make Pizza?” I was on cloud nine. I recovered, told her, “That is the best compliment I can have from you, thanks”
I learned first hand the importance of compliments, to receive and to give. What if student feedback is full of compliments! Will it be treated false by the student? How do you integrate compliments in your feedback, Do Share
